Dal-Tile is currently seeking an exceptional Checker to join our TEAM! As the Checker, we need someone who is ready to provide a variety of support such as packing and verifying orders and labeling boxes.

Shift: 3rd Shift

Monday - Friday  11:30 PM-8:00 AM

Pay Rate:

Entry Rate: $17.51 3-month Progression Increase: $ 18.57 Plus $1.00 shift differential

Primary Objective 

Packs, checks, and verifies orders for shipping. 

Major Function and Scope 

Wraps and packs products by hand into boxes for shipping.  Label boxes with packing slips.  Verifies orders for accuracy.  Monitors equipment or processes and reports problems to supervisor.  Follows standard operating and safety procedures. Keeps area safe, clean, and organized.  Operates sit-down forklift.  Performs other related duties as required.

Experience and Knowledge Required 

Requires a high school diploma—ability to read and write English.  Previous distribution/warehouse experience is a plus, not required. 

Competencies 

Good oral and written communication skills, record-keeping skills, listening skills, accurate measurement capability, ability to understand and speak basic English, and ability to work safely and conscientiously.

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand, use hands, and reach with hands and arms.  The associate is required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.  The associate may be required to sometimes sit, climb, or balance.  The associate may lift and/or move up to 110 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.  While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.  The associate is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
