Hybrid Shift (Wed-Fri 12PM - 8:30PM & Sat-Sun 8:30AM - 5:00PM)

Job Description

The main function of a Materials Handler is to receive, store, and issue materials, equipment, and other items from stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard.

 

Responsibilities

Ensure security and accountability of inventory through transaction documentation, process and procedure verification, and system review.Develop and execute replenishment strategies; conduct physical inventories and lead cycle counts.Audit incoming and outgoing shipments to assure quality and accuracy.Compile and document all transactions for data entry.Responsible for the physical receipt, storage, pick, pack, ship, transport, and delivery of inventory.Receive and count stock items, and record data manually or using a computer.Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards.Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock, and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors.Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas.Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment.Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations.Keep records on the use and/or damage of stock or stock handling equipment.Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors.Provide assistance or direction to other stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard workers.

Essential Skills/Qualifications

Experience in production, general labor, and receiving trucks from suppliers.Ability to process receipts in the system.Capability to put away raw materials in the racks utilizing material handling equipment.Proficiency in pulling orders, with 8 loads a day going over to manufacturing.Ability to drive to the site where materials are offloaded.Experience operating a forklift, material handling, loading/unloading trucks, inventory, packaging, packing, picking, unloading, loading, shipping & receiving, labeling, RF scanner, pallet jack, and warehouse packing1-3 years of warehouse/material handling experience.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.68 - $19.68/hr.
