Electrification & Automation

The Electrification & Automation (E&A) Business Unit offers the full range of energy distribution systems and solutions for all markets and through all sales channels. We provide reliable power distribution grids of today while investing in our Future Grids portfolio to create the power distribution grid of the future. 

We are looking for a Material Handler II for 1st Shift. This position will be based at Wendell, NC.

1st Shift Hours: 6:00am - 2:30pm

As a Material Handler II, you will be responsible for handling materials throughout various stages, including receiving, storing, picking, delivering, and managing inventory. This role involves transporting materials to production areas as needed. You may also be required to document and track material receipts and deliveries using SAP. Additionally, you will conduct equipment inspections to ensure safe and efficient operation.

You’ll make an impact by:

Safely operating stand-up reach trucks, stand-up order pickers, and sit-down forklifts in high-traffic areas and narrow aisles; inspecting equipment daily. Unloading, receiving, counting, and verifying incoming production materials, recording data in SAP. Picking materials for internal and external customers using RF scanners with count accuracy. Performing daily cycle counts and efficiently packing and shipping materials damage-free. Adhering to safety rules, following established processes, and seeking improvement opportunities. Working as a great teammate and completing other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Management.

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications: 

2+ years of forklift experience and have a valid driver's license 2+ years of packing and crating experience. 1+ years of crane experience and ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally. Ability to work independently with minimal mentorship and perform duties safely with a sense of urgency. Strong attention to detail while meeting deadlines Applicants must be legally authorized for employment within the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.

Preferred Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED  1+ years’ experience in material management (warehousing) Experience with SAP system Ability to train others on department processes Proficient with MS Office applications including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook
