As a veteran Material Handler, we need someone that is ready to operate all equipment utilized in the distribution center such as the Reach Truck, Cherry Picker, Sit-Down Forklift and Electric Pallet Jack. **Shift :** + 1st Shift + Monday - Friday + 8:00AM-4:45PM **Pay Rate: $24.14** **Primary Objective** + Operates various powered industrial trucks to pick customer orders and conveys orders to packing station or shipping area. **Major Function and Scope** + Operates various powered industrial trucks to pick customer orders and conveys orders to packing station or shipping area. + Operates order picker equipment or stand-up forklift to assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets. + Utilizes warehouse systems such as Warehouse Management System (WMS). + Verifies stock availability and audits orders for accuracy. + Conveys picked orders to packing station or shipping area. + Monitors equipment or processes and reports problems to supervisor. + Follows standard operating and safety procedures. + Keeps area safe, clean and organized. + Performs other related duties as required. **Experience and Knowledge Required** + High School diploma or equivalent experience; Certified Sit-Down Forklift Operator. + 3 or more years previous distribution/warehouse experience. + Must have a minimum of 6 months previous stand-up forklift or order picker equipment experience. **Competencies:** + Good oral and written communications skills. + Good record keeping skills. + Good listening skills. + Accurate measurement capability. + Ability to understand and speak basic English. + Ability to work in a safe and conscientious manner. + Must be Dal-Tile certified to operate powered industrial trucks. **Other Pertinent Job Information:** + While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand, use hands, and reach with hands and arms. + The associate is required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. + The associate may be required to sometimes sit, climb or balance. + The associate may lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. + The aver number of picks per hour is 25 and the average weight is between 40-70 lbs with heavier picks (50-70 lbs) being 65% of the work shift and lighter weight items (20-40 lbs) being 35% of the work shift. + Specific vision abilities required by this position includes close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus. + While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. + The associate is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. + The associate may be exposed to a wide range of temperatures. + The noise level is usually loud. + Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
