As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for maintaining the efficient flow of materials and products in our manufacturing areas. Under general supervision, the Materials Handler ensures inventory is properly stored, tracked, and moved according to established guidelines while coordinating material flow to support production needs. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR + Education & Experience + High school diploma or GED required. + 2 to 4 years of experience required. Prior forklift operation or stockroom experience is preferred. + Skills & Certifications + Valid driver’s license required. + Must complete Forklift Safety Training before operating a forklift. + Ability to read and understand work orders and material flow procedures. + Basic computer skills to update and maintain inventory databases. + Physical & Attendance Requirements + Regular attendance is required, including availability for overtime as needed. + Ability to spend more than 2/3 of the time standing, kneeling, crouching, stooping, reaching, and using hands. + Must be able to lift and move materials as needed to support manufacturing operations. WHAT YOU’LL DO + Move freight, stock, or other materials between storage, production areas, loading docks, and delivery vehicles using manual or powered equipment. + Read work orders to determine material or equipment needs. + Maintain storage areas, monitor inventory levels, and ensure proper handling of materials. + Develop and document best practices while providing training for junior material handlers. + Operate office machines, such as photocopiers, scanners, and computers, to update inventory records. + Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to all safety guidelines.
