Material Handler Level II
**Job Title: Material Handler Level II** **Job Description** As a Material Handler Level II, you will operate a forklift and actively cross-train in various warehouse functions, including materials management, logistics, final product shipping, and inventory control. You will receive and unload incoming materials, verify shipment accuracy, and process return shipments. You will inspect incoming materials for correctness and defects, sort, count, package, label, and log inventory, inspect shipments for damage, and notify appropriate personnel of discrepancies. You will perform cycle counts using the MRP system, maintain accurate inventory, arrange shipments, requisition and store materials, deliver supplies, and support production schedules. Additionally, you will maintain hazardous waste inventory, adhere to standard operating procedures, and keep the work area organized. **Responsibilities** + Operate a forklift. + Cross-train in warehouse functions including materials management, logistics, final product shipping, and inventory control. + Receive and unload incoming materials and verify shipment accuracy. + Process return shipments from customers. + Inspect incoming materials for correctness and defects. + Sort, count, package, label, unpack, and log inventory. + Inspect shipments for damage and notify supervisor of discrepancies. + Perform cycle counts using the MRP system and maintain accurate inventory. + Arrange and issue instructions for shipping and delivery of orders. + Rectify problems with carriers regarding damages, shortages, and non-conformance. + Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies. + Deliver materials and supplies to requisitioning departments accurately and timely. + Support adherence to daily production and shipping schedules. + Maintain MSDS and schedule hazardous waste pick-up. + Adhere to standard operating procedures and department operating procedures. + Keep the work area clean and organized. + Identify and report problems or non-conformances related to products or processes. **Essential Skills** + ERP knowledge for tracking inventory between sites. + Material handling and warehouse inventory experience. + Loading and unloading trucks. + Driving and operating a forklift. + Inventory control and materials management. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + ERP or WMS knowledge. + Ability to drive a company van between Mahwah and Allendale daily. + Organizational skills for managing multiple warehouse locations. + Physical ability to lift and move 50lb boxes. **Why Work Here?** Join a dynamic team that values cross-training and professional development. You will be on your feet for 8 hours and must be able to consistently lift materials and boxes, up to 50 pounds. The physical demands include standing, walking, sitting, using hands to handle objects, reaching with hands and arms, climbing stairs, talking, and hearing.
