Material Handler - LTL Dock

AS A MATERIAL HANDLER, YOU WILL:

Load and/or unload trucks Put away incoming freight Replenish orders as necessary to support operation Supply cardboard boxes and bags for departments Transport finished goods to be shipped Perform necessary housekeeping duties to maintain clean work environment Maintain safe actions on and off equipment in compliance with all safety rules/regulations required by Emerson, federal, state, and local provisions Meet department quality, attendance, and productivity requirements Assist and train new hires Other duties as assigned

For this Role, You Will Need:

Must be willing to work frequently on and off lift equipment Must be able to read shipping Bills of Lading and identify any errors Must have general knowledge of shipping class codes Must be knowledgeable in shipping standards and regulations Must be able to recognize cross system issues when processing shipments Must be able to problem solve Must be able to use system software to determine when and how to best process a shipment Must be willing to lift and move heavy material Ability to use the Hand (RF) scanner effectively and efficiently 

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

JDE knowledge High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience
