Job Description

THE POSITION: The Material Handler Operations Lead will assist the Supervisor in their designated department and shift's day to day operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist the Operations Supervisor in the day to day operationsEnsuring work is accomplished effectively by managing employee performance, work processes and other resourcesEnsure all safety rules and procedures are followed Responsible for and oversee their respective departmentMonitor the activities of the department staff; communicate interpret and discuss with team the company policies and proceduresDetermine job objectives, work methods and performance standards - Ensure team members are following all SOPs and meeting productivity requirementsManaging inventory displays

Qualifications

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Ability to work in team environmentAbility to focus on detail and qualityAbility to complete assigned tasks in a timely mannerAbility to efficiently use IT hardware, software and peripherals as it pertains to the performance of daily tasksCritical Skills: Working knowledge of Material Handling issues

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

Licenses/Certificates: Forklift certified - Technology/Equipment 

PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
The physical and mental requirements along with the work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an individual encounters while performing the essential functions of this position. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Environmental demands include walking or standing at a minimum of 80% of the shift, lifting up to 50 pounds and performing tasking in a busy environment.
