**Job Title: Material Handler (Orion)** **Job Description** We are looking to add a material handler to help stage product and transport finished materials to and from the welders. The role involves running a sit-down forklift, preparing materials for operators, cleaning and organizing the station, prepping bays, and assisting in all shipping and receiving duties, including loading and unloading trucks. **Responsibilities** + Run sit-down forklift + Prepare materials for operators + Clean and organize station + Help prep bays + Assist in all shipping and receiving duties, including loading and unloading trucks **Essential Skills** + 1 year of experience operating a sit-down forklift + Ability to pass a forklift test + Ability to operate a forklift in narrow/tight areas + Following proper safety protocols, such as proceeding with caution when turning a blind corner + Carefully loading and unloading augers, which spill over the fork and are not strapped down + Ability to lift 75 lbs **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in material handling, labor, forklift operations, warehouse tasks, production, inventory management, general labor, packaging, and unloading **Why Work Here?** We offer a great culture and competitive pay. As a material handler, you will work outside in various weather conditions unless you are at the Bettendorf plant, which is all indoors. The facility includes a weld shop with up to 20 welders. Training will be provided for the first few weeks with a manager, after which you will work independently, with occasional check-ins and collaboration with shop help. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Orion, Illinois. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
