Role and Responsibilities
This position is responsible for monitoring the overall material management under minimal supervision to ensure SEA’s parts are in top condition. This role will participate in operational activities and communicate with multiple parties to achieve the best material management. This position will manage SEA metrics by analyzing refurbish inbound and outbound trends and identifying areas for improvement in material management.
Material Planning Leader
Leads material planners and supports assigned organization to fulfill the parts procurement needs based on demand forecasts and inventory status
Leads development or enhancement of effective material management based on industry sales trends and refurbish demand trends and leads End Of Life (EOL) management
Communicates forecast and inventory estimations to management and support management with risk assessments and address demand-related issues in a timely and effective manner
Cooperates with reclamation plan in order to reduce A grade material consumption and save material cost
Coordinates and executes projects and activities to ensure conformance to plans and the timely and effective achievement of results
Plays an active role in key procurement projects, such as cost reduction initiatives and process optimization
Inventory/Supply Chain Management
Conducts purchasing activities in accordance with ethical business standards and established purchasing policies and procedures proactively
Initiates Return Material Authorizations (RMA) to maintain inventory target for material healthiness and coordinate Last Time Buy (LTB) align with production requirements
Prepares, presents and reports material management KPIs to analyze the root causes and of contingent plan aligning within provided production plans and business objectives
Manages Forecast vs. Actual returns from each vendor, and shares discrepancy with operation group and analyze material status by model
Analyzes inventory levels based upon parts usage, lead-time to delivery and current balance on-hand and future demands and monitors parts usage to determine need for changes to inventory levels
Be responsible for ordering materials, material readiness and shortage/excess management
Utilizes the resources of the ERP system to initiate and perform inventory control, prepare physical inventory audit and report result
Minimum Qualifications
Bilingual (Korean/English) is highly required
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field with 6+ years of experience
Prior experiences with SAP, ERP or similar business enterprise purchasing, inventory control and procurement management system
Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and data management to analyze current material status and drive improvement plans
The self-motivated ability to plan, organize, and prioritize multiple and simultaneous projects and assignments in fast-paced environment
Excellent quantitative and analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy required
Domestic/International Business travel may be required if at all possible
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in purchasing or procurement of electronic components in telecommunication industry
