Job Purpose

Coordinates with the Demand Analyst utilizing the forecast, considering the factory capacity and constraints for the development of an optimal production plan and ensure adequate raw materials, and packaging are acquired and on site for production.

Key Responsibilities Participate in the Safety Journey by ensuring compliance in all aspects of safety with all applicable regulations (AkzoNobel and regulatory). Attend and participate in Programs/Committees/Training as required, such as Department Safety, Plant Safety, Behavioral Safety, Housekeeping Audit Teams, ISO, Life Saving Rules or any other safety programs. Actively participate in BBS program, and all other safety processes. Adhere to the Golden Principle which is “Stop work if conditions or behaviors are unsafe”. Actively participate in Continuous Improvement efforts working toward process improvements, inventory health, reduced scheduling effort, increased production efficiency, accurate delivery date quotes, and providing real time information. Develops plans to improve the above performance through focused improvement activities (in conjunction with the operations group) and other CI/ALPS initiatives. Can encompass Maintenance, Planning, CI, Safety, Quality, and Logistics interaction. Interfaces with off-site functions such as R&D/Marketing/Supply Chain  and central engineering for the industrialization of new products, new raw materials, new packaging  and recipe changes ensuring that changes on site are controlled and managed. Monitor and manage inventory levels of raw materials, schedule replenishments as necessary and plan/check open orders for 10/20/30+ lead times. Involves systems such as SAP, MS Office, Excel, Word, PP, etc. on a consistent basis.  Participate in inventory cycle count process with the Logistics Specialist and the Plant Support Site Manager with acquisition of NPR related purchases for capital and maintenance projects. Works in close cooperation with Production Supervisors, Demand Analyst, and Logistics Specialist to ensure optimized performance of the site. Address P2P and VIM concerns as well as RM forecasting. Performs other duties as required by the Production Manager or Site Manager for the success of Akzo Nobel Coatings Inc. Job Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent work with 3-5 years’ experience in manufacturing (raw material scheduling, customer service, and/or inventory control). Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word and Excel, as well as SAP knowledge and MRP experience  Customer focus, detail-oriented Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization. Good organizational and time management skills Total Compensation The salary range for these skills is $65,000 to $75,000 + 5% annual bonus. Excellent Medical Insurance with HSA.
