As a Material Pricing Estimator I, you'll be using your skills and expertise to prepare and report costs for our proposals. You'll be responsible for researching and analyzing historical data to facilitate our proposals, developing base cost elements, and organizing cost data and comparisons for management review. You'll act as team member on proposal teams to guide our proposal efforts, representing us throughout the proposal process. Additionally, you'll assist in responses to fact finding questions from customer, and assist in the preparation of DCAA & DCMA audits.

Responsibilities Include:

Represent Procurement during the proposal process ensuring Procurement output is accurate and completeAnalyzing customer Requests for Proposals (RFPs)Identification and coordination of quote activity; leading multi-functional (and often multi-site) proposal teamsReview input from Procurement personnel for accuracy and audit complianceFollowing submittal of proposal, assist in preparing detailed responses to fact-finding questions and presenting to managerPlanning and management of multiple new and follow-on proposal efforts, usually in parallel, for several programs within SNCParticipate in proposal team meetingsParticipate in proposal process improvement activitiesFormatting/data input into a compliant proposal PMSW Worksheet with accurate information from Supplier quotesUsing established tools and best practices (and identifying new opportunities) to improve overall proposal quality and efficiency, working closely with Programs, Planning, Procurement, and Pricing

Must-haves:

Bachelor's Degree in a related field and typically 0-2 or more years of relevant experience. Higher education may substitute for relevant experience. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required educationComprehensive written, verbal and analytical skillsAbility to manage multiple proposals at one timeAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills (including the ability to troubleshoot), and experience creating compliant, high-quality content in a fast-paced environmentCollaborative and customer service oriented. Works well with cross-functional teams to develop strong relationships, solve problems, resolve conflict and effectively achieve goalsExcellent organization and time management skills required in order to prioritize and meet deadlines across multiple proposals and projectsA high degree of attention to detail and ability to document work products, as proposals must be prepared in compliance with internal procedures and government requirements

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $64,900.00 - $85,296.00. SNC considers several factors when extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates’ key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications.
