Job Summary

Raytheon is seeking an experienced Material Program Manager (MPM) in support of the LADS SBU and PF&M SSBU for a program located in Tucson, AZ. The successful candidate will be directly accountable for ensuring overall program execution of materials management including cost/schedule/quality, and management of supplier performance. To be successful, the candidate must be a self-starter, capable of developing and achieving organizational and program objectives, and must be able to successfully interface with all levels of internal and external management.

The ideal candidate will have financial, contracting, proposal development and negotiating experience and have had project management responsibilities including, but not limited to risk and opportunity management, briefing in customer forums, and the ability to work in cross-functional teams. You will have the opportunity to lead projects, budgeting and financial management, issue, and conflict resolution.

What You Will Do:

Own, develop and implement material strategies to support program objectives

Support recurring supplier, program, and IPT Reviews including visibility of procurement plans and escalation of supply chain issues

Implement a forward-looking approach to procurement, pro-actively identifying procurement/delivery gaps, and leveraging the appropriate support teams to drive throughput of product deliveries

Develop and execute Risk & Opportunity (R&O) and Sales plans to meet Annual Operating Plan (AOP) & program responsibilities; Proactively manage mitigation plans

Manage budgets for all buy parts and supply chain labor in support of the Estimate at Completion (EAC) process

Supplier Can-Build oversight including metrics and health assessments

Support prime proposals and program start-up including developing and executing Material Product Strategies (MPS) and Plans (MPP)

Oversee Supplier Request for Information/Proposals/Quotes (RFIs/RFPs/RFQs)and obtain and understand supplier proposals/quotes

Communicate and translate customer and product requirements to suppliers; Conduct supplier engagements related to capability, capacity, opportunity, and risk.

Execute make/buy/where process

Assist with the generation of Supplier Statement of Work (SSOW)

Support supplemental documentation (DD254, NDA, FDA, SSJ, etc.)

Willing to travel domestically, as required

Qualifications You Must Have:

Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience

The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.

U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer:

Financial Acumen: AOP, Forecasting, Estimates at Complete, Earned Value Management, CAM knowledge

Material Program Management experience, with SAP, PRISM knowledge

Prior experience working in the defense industry within the supply chain function

Working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR and DFAR)

Experience making presentations (verbal and/or written) to key stakeholders

Ability to grasp/understand technical concepts and applications

Must be able to succeed in the high stress, fast paced development environment

Excellent time management skills and the ability to assign the appropriate priorities to the many tasks they will be required to perform

A working knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, and Power point

Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation), leadership abilities, and the ability to work in an IPT environment

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
