Job Summary

Raytheon is seeking an experienced Material Program Manager (MPM) in support of the for The High Energy Laser Product line located in the Dallas, Texas. In this role, the candidate will demonstrate project management skills and be directly accountable for ensuring overall program execution of the Supply Chain Organization, materials management in support of our High Energy Laser (HEL) portfolio.

They will also ensure program success to cost/schedule/quality and manage supplier performance in meeting program needs. To be successful, the candidate must be a self-starter, capable of developing and achieving organizational and program objectives, and must be able to successfully interface with all levels of internal management, including supplier management.

This position is an onsite role.

What You Will Do:

Overall ownership of the SCM performance for material and MPM labor.

Accurate sales forecasting of all assigned ETC.

Creates, manages, and executes MPS (Material Program Strategy) and the MPP (Material Program Plan) to enable successful execution of program competitiveness and performance, from the front end of the business through contract closure.

Provides comprehensive Supply Chain support for Gates 0-11 activities and ensures IPDP compliance for the programs and tailoring when applicable. Key activities typically include financial management (i.e., EV, budgets, targets, working capital, material sales forecasts, etc.)

Work with the procurement organization and it’s leadership to drive PO placement and material management to the Operation build schedule.

Monitoring and proactively addressing performance and financial metrics including those related to cost, schedule, quality, and EVMS.

Collaborating with other programs to maximize efficiency of program execution including other programs commonality.

Overall ownership of the supplier management process including supplier performance, SCM metrics, international issues, Make/Buy Where strategy, strategic agreements, and communication of customer flow through requirements such as FAR/DFARS, ITAR, offset, public law, quality, warranty, etc.

Qualifications You Must Have:

Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience

Experience in supply chain and related systems, procurement, MRP, receiving, cost estimating, and/or finance

U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Prefer:

Working knowledge of SAP

Raytheon or similar Six Sigma Specialist

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Experience interfacing with all levels of internal management

Experience with supplier management and/or subcontract management

Experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, and/or Power Point)

Able to coordinate strategies and manage tactical execution

General understanding of working in an Integrated Product Team (IPT) environment

Working knowledge in translating customer terms and conditions into supplier requirements

and reviewing statements of work for completeness and conformance to program requirements

General understanding in managing technical requirements to a schedule and budget

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
