Job Summary

This Material Program Manager (MPM) role is responsible for supporting proposal activities and managing supply chain tasks in support of key production contracts. As an MPM, you will be the liaison between the program and the supply base, working to ensure material requirements are met. Key responsibilities include the following: developing and implementing material strategies, material forecasting, ensuring cost and schedule requirements are met, creating metrics to monitor GSCM health, supplier assessments, and supporting proposal activities.

What You Will Do:

Communicate and translate customer and product requirements to suppliers; including conducting supplier engagements related to capability, capacity, opportunity, and riskUse critical thinking skills to propose sound and innovative business solutions to increase operational efficiencies to insure business area and program successSuccessfully operate with minimal oversight, yet readily recognize and escalate when assistance is requiredProvides comprehensive Supply Chain support for Gates 0-11 activities and ensures IPDP compliance for the programs and tailoring when applicable. Overall ownership of the supplier management process including supplier performance, Supply Chain metrics, international issues, Make/Buy Where strategy, strategic agreements, and communication of customer flow through requirements such as FAR/DFARS, ITAR, offset, public law, quality, warranty, etc. Develop and lead supply chain proposal activitiesDevelop and execute risk/opportunity plans to meet program objectives. Member of program office that participates in Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings. Work closely with Engineering, Quality and Operations to create common schedule based on Material Requirements Planning (MRP). Responsible for financial tasks related to material including developing and tracking budgets, targets, initiating & maintaining accurate sales forecasts, material EACs, sales and operating Plans and Annual Operating Plans (AOP). 

Qualifications You Must Have:

Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experienceThe ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

Supply chain experience in the Aerospace or Defense industry. Experienced leader communicating and presenting to all levels of Management and senior leadership. Experience with MS Office (i.e. Word, Power Point, Excel and Project) and PRISM. Ability to balance strategic thinking with tactical application of strategies to programs.  Demonstrate initiative, perseverance, and creativity in problem solving. Experience supporting/leading proposal efforts.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

This position requires a security clearance. DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA CAS), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
