Key Responsibilities:
Inspect all incoming materials, equipment, and components to verify they meet the project specifications, drawings, and relevant codes/standards. Review material test reports, certificates of conformity, and other quality documentation to confirm compliance. Conduct visual inspections and dimensional checks to identify any defects or nonconformities. Coordinate with project stakeholders to address any issues or discrepancies found during the inspection process. Maintain detailed inspection records and documentation, including photographs, to provide evidence of the inspection process. Collaborate with the project team to develop and implement quality control procedures for the receiving process. Stay up-to-date with the latest industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to solar project materials and equipment. Ensure a safe work environment and adhere to all health, safety, and environmental protocols. Provide training and guidance to other team members on proper receiving and inspection practices.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in material receiving and quality inspection, preferably in the renewable energy or construction industry. Strong knowledge of solar PV system components, materials, and equipment. Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., IEC, ASTM, ISO) applicable to solar projects. Proficient in the use of inspection tools and equipment, such as calipers, micrometers, and torque wrenches. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate and thorough documentation. Certification in quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) or relevant inspection/quality assurance training is preferred.
