Position Overview
The Material Resource Planner plays a critical role within the Order Management team by ensuring on-time delivery of materials by timely Purchase Order Placement. This role is responsible for managing material planning, analyzing and ensuring supply chain efficiency, confirming purchase orders, and resolving issues to ensure smooth operations. Success in this role requires effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, proactive problem-solving, and strong analytical skills to drive timely Purchase Order placement and confirmation.
What your day-to-day will look like:
Analyze demand in ERP, create Purchase Requisitions and Purchase Orders. Perform excess inventory analysis and coordinate with the warehouse to ensure availability of excess inventory while minimizing liability. Negotiate with suppliers for quick buys and escalate PO delivery issues as necessary. Drive PO acceptance and delivery confirmation process, partnering with internal stakeholders to resolve issues. Proactively monitor supply and demand imbalances and take corrective actions to resolve material shortages impacting production. Analyze and interpret Engineering drawings to identify material requirements. Collaborate with Project Management, Strategic Procurement, and other teams to address potential delays.To thrive in this role, you have:
Worked on a supply chain, procurement, engineering, or manufacturing role over the past 3 years on an engineer-to-order manufacturing environment Highly proficient MS Excel skills. MRP systems knowledge, SAP Preferred. Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline – supply chain, business, manufacturing or industrial engineering degree, or equivalent work experience Strong negotiating skills Highly analytical with a proven ability to identify and resolve complex material-related issues. The base salary range for this position in NC $56,100 - $75,800. This position is eligible for overtime. The salary may be higher or lower depending on the budget and the candidate's experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
