ROLE:  Monitor all blending equipment for proper and continuous feed operation to the production line(s). Leads the material related activities and is responsible to maintain a safe and well-kept area. Works closely with other members of the team to assure a cooperative and friendly atmosphere regarding the daily activities of production.

 

PAY: Starting at $21.65/HR (based on experience)

                                      

KEY JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Maintain safe, clean and friendly work environmentAdjust blends within process limitations as directed that will produce various plastic parts, maintaining optimum operating efficiency and uptimeIdentify and troubleshoot needed repairs and utilize follow-up procedures of reportingEffectively generate work orders and document other related downtimesWork closely with process technician and other support staff to assure maximum quality levels and machine up timeAbility to read and understand equipment manuals and diagramsAbility to read and understand metric system measurementsClean and replace filters as neededCorrectly identify all materialsIdentify and transport all material to the warehouse areaDrain material systems for Setups and PM’s.Keep tunnel and compactor area clean and orderlyAbility to work in fast paced environmentOther duties as necessary

Operate Equipment:

Ability to operate motorized equipment and other peripheral equipment safely and efficiently as requiredAbility to operate thermoforming and/or blending equipment and peripherals

Product Knowledge:

Demonstrates knowledge of FK products and materials and can differentiate between them Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or equivalentOne to three years of previous mechanical and or technical experience in a related manufacturing settingBasic computer skillsStrong mechanical aptitude Acceptable score acquired on the Fabri-Kal Corporation mechanical aptitude testGood oral and written communication skillsBasic computer knowledgeWork with little to no supervision

Must be able to:

Work a 12-hour shift, standing and walking for extended periodsClimb Heed safety warnings, devices and alarmsCommunicate effectively both verbally and in writingLift and carry products weighing up to 50 lbs.Possess an adequate ability to do problem solving and establish cause and effect relationships in an office and/or manufacturing environment
