Position Summary:

This position is responsible for the inventory control of materials throughout the complete material process. This includes receiving materials, stockage, handling and shipping of materials. The Material Coordinator verifies and maintains accurate records of incoming and outgoing shipments according to the company’s Quality System Procedures, assists with inventory control and management, performs cycle counting, kits and issues materials to production job orders, and orders production consumable supplies as required. Will coordinate with purchasing and production to ensure the inventory is accurate and appropriate to meet demands. Supports materials handling hazardous chemicals and performs duties within the production and inventory control department as required.

Key Responsibilities:

Receive customer supply and/or purchased materials. This includes proper labeling and storage and documenting movement of materials. Unpack, examine and route incoming shipments, reject damaged items and record shortages. Generate required documentation for domestic and international shipments. Scheduling Shipper/Courier pickups as required. Must interact with internal and external customers in a positive and professional manner. Reliable, consistent, and punctual attendance is an essential function of the job. Communicate any material shortages to appropriate departments as needed.

Must Have:

High School Diploma or GED required No experience required, 1 year manufacturing, shipping or material handling experience preferred, experience preferably in a regulated industry. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook and other systems (i.e. FedEx/IUPS application) Strong problem solving and decision-making abilities.

Good to have:

Previous experience with FDA standards, ISO 13485 and GMP principles.

Salary Range: $19.00- $22.00
