**Position Overview**
The **Materials & Equipment Administrator** is an essential part of Davey Resource Group’s Utility Asset Management (UAM) material and equipment procurement process and is responsible for administering the day-to-day of these functions. This position will report to the Materials & Equipment Manager but will also work closely with our operations managers to ensure that materials and equipment needs match the required field needs. Key tasks include approving purchases, tracking budgets, maintaining inventory accuracy, and responding to inquiries. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask are essential. The ideal candidate is proficient in Google Suite, is analytical, and a self-starter. This position requires being on-site in the office every workday.
**Job Duties**
+ Oversee day-to-day equipment activities including procurement, device status, disposal, and reassignments.
+ Work closely with Davey Tree Corporate IT team and related outside vendors and service providers.
+ Maintain accurate equipment inventory tracking.
+ Administer approval of equipment purchases.
+ Support the material procurement process for the Reliability Services/Construction Services segments.
+ Support the needs of field teams related to the logistics of computers and other related devices (acquisition and disposal of assets).
+ Implement improved business processes for equipment ordering and tracking.
+ Responsible for maintaining, monitoring, and managing equipment assignment information in the equipment database.
+ Assist with periodic equipment audits to maintain accuracy.
+ Provide guidance, define policies, and communicate procedures to external and internal customers.
+ Respond to correspondence (phone, email, etc.) with a high degree of accuracy and timeliness.
+ Assist in invoice/budget tracking.
+ Assist with physical material inventory verifications as needed.
**Qualifications**
**What We’re Seeking:**
+ Required: A high-school diploma or equivalent
+ Required: Possess analytical skills and ability to use business tools such as Excel/Google Sheets.
+ Required: Ability to learn Microsoft/Google applications.
+ Required: Strong listening and communication skills; oral, written, and presentation.
+ Required: Ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
+ Required: Ability to interact with individuals at all levels of the organization and outside parties.
+ Required: Detail-oriented and organized with a focus on quality and consistency, including strengths in documentation and protocol/policy/procedure adherence.
+ Required: Possess initiative, and a self-starter capable of working with minimal direction.
+ Required: Proficient in completing assigned responsibilities and projects working independently and in teams.
+ Preferred: Previous SAP experience.
+ Preferred: Previous experience in procurement.
+ Preferred: Completion of some higher education.
