**The purpose of this position is** :
+ Loads/unloads product pallets for sterilization in strict compliance with the established irradiator operational product shift plan.
+ Places product dosimetry in accordance with current validated SOP.
+ Arranges and maintains sterilization queue based on availability of finished goods to sterilization.
+ Monitors recycling system streams, minimizes interference of recycling waste on production flow.
**This position includes significant duties such as: **
+ Transfers all non-sterile product to product pallet loader by forklift to be irradiated per applicable loading diagram.
+ Inspects, places, and documents product dosimeters throughout lot.
+ Safely conducts operation of irradiator, internal and external conveyors, equipment, and irradiator support auxiliary system equipment.
+ Follows procedure for counting and recording the number of cases loaded and unloaded.
+ Diagnoses and corrects equipment malfunction and completes the timely repair to ensure minimum downtime.
+ Assists the Irradiator Operator in conducting routine safety and operational checks on the sterilizer and facility.
+ Maintains cleanliness of Irradiator Operations area.
+ Responsible for product/lot segregation in Pre and Post Sterile staging areas.
+ Performs preventive maintenance on equipment and totes.
+ Works under direction of Shift Irradiator Operator.
+ Performs special projects in the Irradiator Operations Department or other departments as required.
+ Maintains compliance with established government and company safety regulations, environmental and emergency procedures and Quality System Requirements.
+ Observes all safety and environmental procedures and Quality System Requirements.
**Working Conditions:**
+ Frequently lifts and/or moves materials up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lifts and/or moves materials up to 65 pounds.
+ Exposure to fumes and high frequency noise in manufacturing areas when working in production and warehouse areas.
+ Exposure to industrial machinery, moving parts, electrical and other energy sources.
+ Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required including, but not limited to, gloves, eye protection, safety shoes, etc.
**Education and Experience: **
+ HS Diploma or GED required
+ 6 – 12 months experience within a manufacturing/ warehouse environment

The range for this position is $19.25 hourly rate - $22.50 hourly rate. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
