SUMMARY

As a Materials Handling Tech I, your key role is to organize, track and deliver supplies that are vital to the success of the hospital.  Ensuring that each room and floor is stocked and prepared for the next patient at all times, is an essential practice throughout the system.

STATUS: Part Time

LOCATION: Rochester General Hospital

DEPARTMENT: Materials Management

SCHEDULE: Days Monday through Friday, 9a-2p

RESPONSIBILITIES

Supply & Distribution. Ensure all necessary forms are completed; ensure all materials are stocked to the appropriate level per exchange cart; report all inventory discrepancies to Buyer/Planner, Supervisors and/or Materials Manager; inventory and maintain medical equipment supply levelsManagement of Receivables. Ensure materials are kept in their proper location; review package slips and verify incoming materialsMessenger Services. Fill miscellaneous orders from departments; transport materials to designated areas with documentation; ensure all incoming materials are signed for by the department

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

H - Heavy Work - Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Requires constant walking, standing or squatting.

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components.
