Primary focus is to ensure accurate, consistent, and timely information in our ERP system and create effective controls to mitigate errors and process issues. Position is responsible for accurate, complete and timely input and management of master material data used to support operations, billing, pricing and data components for our ERP system. Coordinates inputs from kitchens and suppliers, uses independent discretion and judgment to analyze data, and works with internal customers to load data into SACS, analyzes and vets data issues, verifies and notifies customers of data availability.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Serves as internal expert and single point of contact for all raw material master data in both the production and development environments.Perform SKU/material management to mitigate SKU/Supplier proliferationOngoing SKU rationalization; identifying opportunities for reduction of active SKUs and potential savings on new and existing menus, in collaboration with Sourcing team.Support Menu Development and product launch process by acting as point of contact for new and existing materialsCollaborate with Corporate Procurement and unit Buyers to ensure required materials are sourced and available in SACS for pricingPartner with Account Services Group (ASG), to ensure accurate material costs are presented to external CustomersMaintain accurate materials in Master PlantAbility to extract and analyze Materials Management data through SACS reports/queries, including but not limited to purchase volumes, price variances, and compliance discrepancies.Develop variance analyses from the data contained in the reports; conducts root cause analyses and resolves issues.Checks raw material master data for completeness and accuracy, and follows up on missing or incorrect information.Develops, evolves, and enforces guidelines for standardization of Canadian data.Maintains material purchase price information and compiles material costing data for use by pricing team.Gathers, validates, and transitions raw material master data for new unit implementations, documenting local unit variations on established sourcing and setup.Manages daily business communications to develop and maintain accurate master dataCreates and maintains tools for efficient migration of legacy system data into SACSCreates and maintains tools for effective data processing and analysis in our ERP system with an eye towards automation of routine tasks. This enables users to focus their time and resources on tasks with a higher return on time invested.Analyzes BOM data for errors prior to and after input, both on existing and new menus.Verifies and reconciles sourcing information, and identifying opportunities to optimize ordering strategies at the centers.Identifies new methods for optimizing data handling for the Canadian Sourcing teamAvailable as a subject matter expert, and providing gap analysis for projects, studies and implementationsProvides Risk Management input related to MM and MRP data or processesQualifications
Education:
College degree or equivalent, from an accredited institutionWork Experience:
2-4 years of SACS, SAP or other ERP system experience2 + year’s of experience in a commercial food environment or business data position.Work background in an operations environmentTechnical Skills:
Must be able to understand and apply basic knowledge of an ERP systemAdvanced knowledge of MS Excel and a solid working knowledge of MS OfficeSolid analytical skills across different functional groups within the organizationMust have excellent attention to detailMust thrive in a team based environmentMust have the ability and desire to meet required timelines, and be proactive in problem solvingFood industry and/or culinary knowledge preferableLanguage / Communication Skills:
