What You'll Do:
Materials Planning & Procurement
Develop and execute material planning strategies to meet production schedules.
Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of raw materials such as foam, fabric, coils, adhesives, and other mattress components.
Monitor material usage and adjust orders based on demand fluctuations.
Work closely with procurement teams to negotiate contracts and manage supplier relationships.
Inventory & Warehouse ManagementMaintain optimal inventory levels to prevent production disruptions while minimizing excess stock.
Oversee warehouse operations, ensuring proper storage, organization, and handling of materials.
Implement inventory control systems (e.g., ERP/MRP) to track material flow and prevent shortages.
Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts to ensure accuracy.
Supply Chain & LogisticsCoordinate inbound and outbound logistics, optimizing material flow and transportation costs.
Work with logistics partners to streamline shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations.
Collaborate with production and quality teams to address material-related issues.
What You'll Do: (Cont.)Cost Control & Efficiency
Identify cost-saving opportunities in material sourcing, inventory management, and logistics.
Reduce material waste through efficient planning and process improvements.
Implement lean manufacturing and Just-in-Time (JIT) inventory practices where applicable.
Compliance & Quality AssuranceEnsure all materials meet quality and regulatory standards for mattress manufacturing.
Work closely with the quality control team to address any material defects or inconsistencies.
Maintain compliance with safety and environmental regulations related to material handling.
What You'll Bring:Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field (preferred).
3+ years of experience in materials management, procurement, or supply chain operations (preferably in manufacturing).
Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
Experience in lean manufacturing and inventory management best practices.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
Ability to lead a team and collaborate across departments.
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Experience:Experience in mattress or furniture manufacturing.
Knowledge of raw material sourcing for mattresses (foam, coils, textiles, adhesives, etc.).
Familiarity with sustainability initiatives in material sourcing and waste reduction.
Compensation:
$85,000/Year - $115,000/Year
