Replenishment of Raw Materials:
Ensure the MRP Suggested Purchases are actioned on a daily basis to ensure production schedules are not compromised. Ensure timely delivery of materials whilst striving to minimize stock levels and assist with warehouse capacity constraints. Review and action supplier delivery confirmations - make any necessary changes, advise planning and production if orders cannot be met. Review & Action MRP Exception Monitor alerts to ensure orders are bought forward or pushed out as required.
Late/Raw Material Shortage Management:
Ensure inbounds overdue are reviewed to allow timely follow up of late/problem deliveries. Update & publish daily RM ‘Problem/Shortage” report to allow visibility of short-term issues. Publish RM Shortage report for 8 weeks plus horizon to flag potential future issues, Liaise with Suppliers, Procurement, R&D, other supply chain team members to minimize schedule disruption due to RM issues.
Inventory Management:
Review Safety Stocks, Minimum Order Quantities (MOQs) & Lot Sizes on a monthly basis. Manage run-out raw materials and change over to alternatives. Ensure inventory levels are maintained at predetermined levels. Communicate and assist with action plans with relevant departments to eliminate/use at-risk, slow-moving inventories.
Non-Conformances Raw Materials/Packaging:
Failed stock from Q.A, damages and incorrect deliveries are processed daily, if required new stock is arranged to be delivered ASAP. Ensure credit claims are processed. Ensure Procurement is notified of vendors with performance issues.
Monitor Supplier Performance:
Monitor Vendor Performance via BI tool. Assist Procurement in obtaining corrective actions for serious breaches in performance, Attend and participate in 6 monthly Supplier Performance Reviews for top 10 Suppliers. Advise Procurement of any major issues.
Supplier Forecasts:
Analyse system downloads and history to provide raw material requirement forecasts to suppliers.
System Maintenance:
Work with Procurement, MDM, Supply Chain team members to ensure system master data is accurate and updated as required - Vendor files, SKU files, Lead Times, Lot Sizes, Safety Stocks, Pack Sizes / Descriptions, Minimum Order Quantities, Blocked/Obsolete/Inactive SKU management.
Commercialization of New Products:
Ensure timely & accurate set-up & ordering of new raw material/packaging items by effective liaison with relevant functions. Qualifications & Skills: Preferably a Degree in Business/Logistics/Supply Chain or related discipline. Preferably 2 years of basic supply chain theory coupled with hands on materials planning experience. Intermediate to Advanced ERP knowledge, SAP preferable. Good to have a strong sense of business understanding and insights. Excellent communication skills and must be able to build strong relationships and challenge the process to strive for continuous improvement. Excellent problem solver, analytical, planning, influencing & negotiation skills with the ability to tackle complex issues and work to tight deadlines to achieve desired outcomes. Motivated with a drive to succeed in a demanding and challenging working environment.
