The Materials Planner shall be the scheduler/planner responsible for task listed below.  1st shift position M-F 6:00am - 2:30pm

Responsibilities:          

Develops and maintains level loaded master schedule as required to achieve sales and operating plan. Verifies adherence of customer POs with ERP production requirements (Visibility) Coordinates with Director of operations, Production Managers, Program Management and Manufacturing to identify and resolve capacity issues daily. Prioritize schedules in response to shift in customer requirement, capacity constraints or sales changes. Prepares and updates master schedule spread sheet (LOB) information and generates written reports (risk assessment, variance analysis, and corrective action plan) as required. Champion continuous improvement team focused on on-time schedule and delivery performance. Identify and implement system and process improvements within the supply chain to enable overall business process improvement Further develop existing forecast and supply programs to improve current days of inventory and cash cycle Analyze inventory levels and product demands to determine reorder levels and safety stocks that will ensure product availability and minimize inventory costs Drive, promote and develop positive communication with Production, Supply Chain and Commercial to improve forecast accuracy. Constantly develop methods for KPI improvement (Stock Turns, Premium Freight, Supplier DSA, Customer DSA, Customer Past Due, Supplier Past Due), collaborates in update of GEMBA production boards Develop and maintain Forecast, master schedule and procurement plan based on history, schedule variation and new product launch Review and update forecast, production schedules and material requirements. Proactively review material supply and demand to determine push/pull actions appropriate to impact manufacturing MPS and supply MRP exception messages. Support introduction of new Production Programs, collaborate with production and engineering in capacity analysis and risk mitigation plans. Support new product introductions, including review of new BOM’s and Start of Production dates for build verification and production units. Administer replenishment, receive, storage and deliver to production of pre peg material. Secures keeping this material in temperature and control environments. Print out travelers and routers for production parts on a daily and weekly basis as required.

Must be a US Person 

Education and/or Experience

APICS experience preferred

Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

 A minimum of 1-3 years’ experience.

 Aerospace experience preferred

 

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Requires ability to walk in the plant to review status of materials, WIP move, check materials in racks and in the temperature control freezers

 

Work Environment 

The task and activities for this position include a combination of desktop, computer activities and physical demanding activities, including move parts and materials. Accommodate material in racks, drive a forklift to move pallets of materials. Arrange materials inside a freezer.
