Materials Planning Business Process Expert

 

Mars is continuously on the journey of improving the end-to-end supply chain from suppliers all the way to customers. This role will focus on improving materials planning, or procurement planning, by maximizing the effectiveness of our planning organization. This can be broken down in a few buckets a) enabling strategic capabilities by simplifying processes b) measuring execution against these using data and analytics c) documenting processes and learnings and d) leading projects that will make materials planning more effective now while building the vision for the next 10+ years. In short, the Materials Planning Business Process Expert will optimize time, resources, and decision-making process to ensure the most effective flow of work between procurement/commercial, planning, and manufacturing.

What are we looking for? 

Bachelor’s degree in economics, Business Administration, or related discipline 

Qualification in Supply chain or Finance is preferable but not mandatory 

3 + years of experience in operational roles associated with PMO/Change Management/Transformation in Supply Chain. 

Core Functional expertise in materials planning/procurement, analytics, SAP, and supply chain systems is preferable but not mandatory 

 

What will be your key responsibilities? 

Identify opportunities for improvement of WoW, standards, processes, systems and propose and implement changes

Drive performance and effectiveness on Purchase Requisition to Purchase Order automation

Lead as the PMO projects for improvement areas (e.g. split sourcing, MRP batch jobs, etc.)

Provide project support to help advance organizational strategic goals and objectives. 

Provide performance insights & analytics support via Commercial digital tools through product management leadership

Design and propose Annual Commercial Business Calendar to determine best practices around contract negotiations/management

Plan, facilitate & co-ordinate key functional events/forums
