Materials Process Manager
Are you an experienced supply chain materials manager looking for a unique opportunity to elevate your skills? Emerson invites you to join our team! You will be at the forefront of driving consistent material practices within our North America Manufacturing and Operations organization. Your key duties will involve implementing and optimizing inventory strategies, working closely with finance to set and achieve targets, supporting delivery timelines, and refining materials strategies for optimal performance! **In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:** + Responsible for Optimization of Inventory. + Working with the North America sites to meet monthly inventory and ITO targets through the development and implementation of inventory programs using sophisticated planning and scheduling methodologies. + Working with the North America finance team to set inventory targets in alignment with the Emerson Business Intelligence tool recommendations. + Responsible for implementing standardized fulfillment strategies throughout the facility. + Supporting timely delivery while sustaining low levels of late backlog. + Supporting Lead-time expectations and Available to Promise (ATP) strategies. + Supporting materials strategies for raw materials through finished goods to optimize inventory and fulfillment. + Work with plant management to identify areas of opportunity and develop a plan to drive improvement in inventory and service levels. + Work with Perfect Execution Leadership and other key partners to identify and improve critical product line cycles that constrain business growth and negatively impact competitiveness. + Drive consistent processes that balance system utilization and efficiency across functional areas. + Support development of analytic and tracking tools to assist in managing standard processes and predictive tools. + Train broader materials team in materials standard processes. + Establish formal and informal mentorships to build a pipeline of materials expertise. + Build and maintain training documentation and standards of work. + Provide leadership and expertise on ERP projects. + Be an advocate for supply chain requirements. **Flexible Work Schedule:** This role has the flexibility of a remote work option up to three days a week. You create and implement plans that allocate resources precisely. **For This Role, You Will Need:** + Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or HS diploma/G.E.D. with 5 years of experience in Materials Management and/or Project Management in a manufacturing environment using ERP systems. + 3 years of experience in Materials Management, Operations, and/or Project Management in a manufacturing environment using ERP systems. + Experience using Oracle (or similar Business System) for Inventory, Purchasing, Order Management, and Advanced Supply Chain Planning functionality. **Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:** + Proven project management skills and ability to effectively manage multiple priorities. + Familiarity with production control systems and routines. + Ability to effectively manage changing and conflicting priorities and resolve appropriately. + Association for Supply Chain Management (ASCM) certification: + CPIM, Certified in Planning and Inventory Management + CSCP, Certified Supply Chain Professional + Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. + Demonstrated ability to influence and inspire change. + Strong business and analytical ability. **Our offer to you:** We recognize the importance of employee wellbeing and know that to do your best you must have flexible, competitive benefit plans to meet you and your family’s physical, mental, financial, and social needs.
