Job Description
The Materials Specialist is responsible for the receiving, binning, shipping, and issuing of materials and aircraft parts. The role also involves creating Repair Orders for unserviceable parts, ensuring parts and materials are available for daily maintenance workloads, and processing serviceable and unserviceable aircraft part returns. Additionally, the Materials Specialist will perform receiving inspection functions, execute monthly and weekly tasks like Calibration & Shelf-Life review, Cycle/Inventory counts, and maintain inventory using computer systems.
ResponsibilitiesCreate Repair Orders for unserviceable parts as directed by the Repairs Department and current contracts.Ensure parts and materials are available for daily maintenance workloads.Process serviceable and unserviceable aircraft part returns as required.Perform receiving inspection functions on behalf of Quality Control under the oversight of the Material Manager.Execute monthly and weekly tasks such as Calibration & Shelf-Life review, Cycle/Inventory counts.Utilize computer systems to maintain and update inventory in a timely manner.Monitor shipping and station supplies; advise the appropriate personnel of shortages and requirements.Coordinate with Materials on parts required for assigned maintenance tasks.Essential SkillsComputer skillsAttention to detailAdditional Skills & QualificationsPrevious inventory, shipping & receiving or forklift experience preferredAviation experience or knowledge of aircraft parts is a bonusJob Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hebron, Kentucky.
Day Shit Sunday - Wednesday (7 a.m. - 5 p.m.)
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00
