Materials Supervisor

Description:
The Materials Supervisor professional will be over planning of procurement, storage, distribution and supply processes. The supervisor will also ensure that materials are available to meet production schedules, manages inventory levels to prevent overstocking and shortages, and coordinates with other departments to ensure that the right materials are available at the right time.
Responsibilities:
Developing and implementing materials management strategies in line with organizational objectives.
Monitoring the quality, quantity, cost, and efficiency of the movement and storage of goods.
Coordinating and controlling the order cycle and associated information systems.
Analyzing data to monitor performance and plan improvements and demand.
Managing staff and overseeing their training and development.
Liaising and negotiating with customers and suppliers.
Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Managing budgets and timelines within the department.
