Fluidra is looking for a Materials Supervisor to join our team in Salt Lake City, UT.

WHAT YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE  The Materials Supervisor will be responsible for inventory movement and storage for use in Manufacturing and Distribution activities. The primary objective of the Material Handling group is to implement efficient and accurate receiving, material handling and storage while optimizing space and improving labor productivity. Additionally, you will:  Receiving, put away (manufacturing, purchase orders), inventory storage and accuracyOptimizing placement and movement of material to support manufacturing and shipping activitiesDesigning, developing and implementing solutions for dramatically improving material flows using Lean PrinciplesMaintaining a safe work environment by establishing, following and enforcing standards and procedures, as well as coaching and motivating team to proactively address potential safety issues and concernsProcessing scrap and obsolete inventory from WIP and StockroomSafety focusPeople Management (systematic and physically)5S standards/ownershipReduction in line down time, improved productivityReduction of in-house receiving lead-timeSignificant improvement in labor efficiencyOptimized space utilizationHighly accurate part selection resulting in inventory accuracy levels above 99%Inventory focus (transactions and overall process)Administer and execute policies, processes and proceduresHire, train, set responsibilities, establish standard work, and supervise supply chain personnel on your team and/or in the plantWrite employee reviews and approve employee timesheetsWork with the Planners and Buyers to monitor work flow and assignmentsImplement effective corrective actions utilizing structured planning methodsAbility to foster and develop a strong team of material handling personnel through selective recruitment, thorough and consistent on-boarding processes, training, and coaching, and identification and addressing of competency gaps within team WHAT WE SEEK2+ years in a Supervisory/Management roleMS Office proficiency; knowledge of Oracle, ERP and WMS is highly desirableDemonstrated excellent communication skills, including the ability to express well-reasoned, independent thought; natural ability to speak and write effectively at all organizational levelsKnowledge of MRP systems, supplier lead times, and production cycle timesMust possess good organizational skills, the ability to work well with others, good decision-making skills and the ability to challenge the status quo and current processesStrong communication skills, both written and verbal in EnglishMust be able to lift 50 lbs1+ year of experience operating a forkliftSafety glasses (company issued)
