Materials Test Technician - 2nd Shift Job Locations US-IN-Indianapolis ID 2024-15017 Overview

Element has an opportunity for a Materials Test Technician to join our rapidly expanding team. As a member of the operations team in one of the various laboratories across Element. The technician positions must be proficient in a number of core business skills including but not limited to compliance to established safety rules, code of conduct, and company policies and procedures.

 

Responsibilities Perform metallurgical sectioning, mounting, polishing, and routine evaluationsEvaluations include grain size, coating thickness, machining artefacts, hardnessAbility to read and understand customer specifications and perform the testing requiredPossess the ability to work alone periodically throughout the work day with supervisionAble to develop a proven ability to set up and perform a variety of tests according to customer specifications Skills / Qualifications High School diploma or GED certificate preferredMinimum 1 year experience in a testing related field preferredWorking knowledge of laboratory safety preferredPossess computer skills. Ability to lift up to 50lbsMust be a US citizen
