If you are proactive, collaborative, and have a keen interest in learning the nuances of managing complex engineering projects, this role could be a great fit for you. **Primary Objective:** As a Project Engineer, you will support the management of assigned projects from initiation to customer acceptance. Your focus will be to contribute to the effective execution of projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the agreed-upon technical specifications. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, gaining experience in all phases of project delivery, including custom mechanical, electrical, and software designs. **Key Responsibilities:** + **Project Planning:** Support the review of order confirmations, assist in developing project plans, and contribute to the creation of project teams, schedules, and budgets. + **Stakeholder Coordination:** Work closely with internal teams (sales, application engineers, mechanical, electrical, and software engineers) and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on project scope, timelines, and technical requirements. + **Budget and Timeline Management:** Assist in monitoring and managing project budgets and schedules, ensuring projects are on track and within budget constraints. + **Technical Problem Solving:** Support the identification and resolution of technical challenges, ensuring that project deliverables meet required quality standards and customer expectations. + **Multitasking and Prioritization:** Help balance multiple priorities and adapt to changing demands, ensuring timely project completion. + **Risk Management:** Work with senior project engineers to anticipate potential risks, particularly regarding on-time delivery, and develop solutions to mitigate them. + **Safety and Quality Compliance:** Ensure that projects comply with MTS safety protocols and quality standards throughout all phases. + **Communication and Accountability:** Maintain clear communication with internal and external teams, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed of project progress and any changes. + BS degree in Engineering or related field (recent graduates encouraged to apply). + 0-3 years of relevant experience (entry-level candidates will be trained in project management processes). + Ability to travel up to 15%, both domestically and internationally. + **Technical Skills:** + Proficient in Excel (required). + Familiarity with SalesForce is a plus. + **Soft Skills:** + Strong collaboration and organizational skills, with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced and evolving work environment. + Clear, concise communication skills, with an ability to provide updates to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. + Accountable and proactive, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. + Ability to work with global teams and adjust hours when necessary to meet project needs. + **Preferred Qualifications:** + Experience with risk assessment and understanding of revenue forecasting to support project success (training will be provided). + Exposure to SalesForce, SAP, or similar project management tools is a plus. **Who We Are? ** MTS is a leading global supplier of test and simulation systems.
