The Opportunity:
We are seeking an inquisitive detail-oriented engineer with experience in the design and development process of MATLAB
applications in an Agile environment. In this position, you will use your skills to develop workflow improvements to develop
products that accelerate the reporting deliverable process in the Performance Assessment Department at NSWC Corona.
Responsibilities:
• Work collaboratively with government personnel to troubleshoot, develop and maintain applications across multiple
platforms in support of the US Navy
• Engage with analysts in their projects and workflows to accelerate the pace of their development and innovation
• Create and deliver presentations and demonstrate tools developed
• Scope technical projects and coordinate with other analysts and software developers to address customer needs in
specialized areas
Qualifications:
• Must have a BS degree in engineering, scientific, or technical discipline
• Must have 3 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree and 1 year of professional work experience, or a
PhD degree, or equivalent experience)
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance to access military facilities, naval shipyards, private
shipyards, and Naval installations
• Must be able to perform occasional travel- less than 10%
• Must be able to remain in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods
• Must be willing to work on site in Norco, California
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
Required Skills:
• Experience programming in MATLAB or Python
• Experience using MATLAB Live Editor and MATLAB Apps
• Knowledge and implementation of the software development lifecycle
• Knowledge and implementation of Agile and engineering development processes
• Experience in product development
• Experience in tool verification and validation
• Experience with the Git version control system
• Experience in memory management techniques
Desirable Skills:
• Experience using MATLAB Parallel Server
• Experience developing for and deploying to MATLAB Production Server
• Experience with Container Technology
• Experience with application testing: Unit, Integration, System, Acceptance
• Experience with parallel programming and multithreading
• Experience with machine learning techniques and packages

The proposed salary range for this position is:
