The Maximo team within the Information Technology department is hiring an Application Specialist for IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS) Administration. In this position, you will provide system support for our water, gas, and electric utility operations. Your work is critical to maintaining the data integrity, reliability, compliance, and security of our MAS System. Your curiosity, ability to solve complex problems and desire to use and build your technical skills will enable Operations to improve processes continuously, find cost savings, and solve operational challenges through the use and implementation of our MAS system.
The MAS system you will support in this position is integrated with other enterprise systems which make up a complex set of hardware and software architectures. This includes but is not limited to industrial instrumentation, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), financial, procurement, supply chain, and other software solutions. You will be responsible for collaborating with enterprise customers to provide best practices, development, and implementation of MAS solutions that increase efficiencies across the organization.
**Key Focus Areas:**
+ Collaborate with utility operations, financial, procurement, and supply chain to support programs/projects and initiatives using MAS applications
+ Provide MAS technical support in User Management, Troubleshooting, Core Data Management, System Configuration, Reporting, Performance, Upgrade Planning, and Failure Recovery to minimize application downtime and increase reliability
+ Support the development, testing, implementation, and troubleshooting of data integrations between MAS and other enterprise systems
+ Support the development, testing, implementation, and troubleshooting of custom solutions within the MAS application framework to improve business processes and increase efficiency across the enterprise
+ Provide MAS reporting support using built-in MAS and Power BI tools to meet enterprise business reporting needs as it relates to work and asset management
+ Maintain, update, and troubleshoot configurations within the MAS environment.
+ Train utility personnel in the use of MAS functionality and best practices to ensure effective use of MAS technologies
+ Perform MAS application patching, monitoring, and container management within Red Hat OpenShift environment following established infrastructure and cyber security policies
+ Support Colorado Springs Utilities Incident Command Center during emergency events with required MAS workflows, reports, and data analysis as requested
Please note that the ability to work extended periods to provide operational readiness of the MAS system will be a required aspect of this position.
**Who You Are...**
You are an individual who thrives working in a highly dynamic environment and possesses knowledge of relevant programming and scripting languages, modern technology stacks, and troubleshooting techniques to solve complex problems and provide technology solutions to operational challenges. You have experience in Enterprise Asset Management and/or Computerized Maintenance Management and are self-motivated to learn more about MAS, water, gas, and electric utility operations and technology. You will use this knowledge to collaborate with operational and field teams to add requested functionality and refine the MAS system to meet Utilities’ needs.
**Highly desired knowledge/skills/expertise include:**
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Logistics Management or related; or equivalent combination of education and experience
+ Five years of experience using directly related specialized analysis and design techniques
+ Minimum of 3+ years of experience supporting IBM Maximo Enterprise Asset Management Software is required
+ MAS 8.x, 9.x system configuration in Org Settings, Financials, Authorization, Start Centers, System Properties, Database Configuration, Application Designer, Domains, Workflow & Escalations, and Cron Tasks
+ MAS 8.x, 9.x Logging and Troubleshooting to include logging, Maximo Management Interface (MMI), Kafka Configuration, and Integration Monitoring
+ Good understanding of Maximo start center customizations and knowledge of functional aspects of work management or asset management process
+ Experience with Work order Module, Configuration module (Application Designer, Database Configuration, Escalation, Cron Task), Administration module (Organization, Calendars, Report Administration, Classification)
+ Experience with Assets, Chart of Accounts, Maximo Integration framework, Inventory, Planning (job plans and safety plans), preventive maintenance, purchasing (PR, PO, receiving, companies), and Resources (person, crafts, and labor codes)
+ Basic skills in Red Hat products (OpenShift and Enterprise Linux), programming/scripting languages (Java, Python, and PowerShell,) and databases (Oracle, SQL Server, and MongoDB)
