You'll have... 

A Master’s or foreign equivalent degree in engineering, computer science, or related field and 2 years of experience in job offered or 2 years of experience conducting research for, teaching or performing systems engineering for complex mechanical systems. Also requires 2 years of experience developing models with SysML (MagicDraw). Requires 1 year experience: performing system architecture development and process, requirements derivation following a structured engineering processes based on the use of trade studies to drive architecture, requirements, and design. Position reports to Dearborn, MI office. Telecommuting permitted in accordance with company policy, but must live within commuting distance of stated office. Experience may be, but need not be, acquired concurrently.

We are offering a salary of $87,859 per year to $187,025 per year.

What you’ll be able to do: 

MBSE Senior Systems Engineer positions offered by Ford Motor Company (Dearborn, MI). Develop and document Systems level architecture and design using a Model Based Engineering Approach and tools. Develop, support, and lead the execution of systems-level concept of operations system and subsystem requirements, and system level verification. Conduct system level analysis, architecture and requirements trade studies. Support program related projects to develop system simulations. Prepare required documentation, including specifications and verification reports. Work with the cross-functional teams to cascade realistic and true targets to deliver quality and value to the customer and company (EPLM, VA, FEDE, Functions). Develop innovative cross-functional solutions that deliver the vehicle targets for cost, weight and performance and meet the customer needs and expectations. Develop new methods for system optimization and drive into the engineering process. Use SysML (Magic Draw) to document system information. Active participation in vehicle development activities at Ford through engagement, empowerment, mentoring, and teaching.
