Essential Responsibilities
Understand and have knowledge of FAA regulations Part 145, Part 65, and Part 43
Understand and complete FAA form 8130.23 in conjunction with pertinent sections of FAA order
8130.21 latest revision
Navigate FAA website to reference FAA Regulations, FAA orders and FAA advisory circulars
as well as FAA Airworthiness Directives as needed
Understand and complete airworthiness approval tag in accordance with other Regulations
Example: EASA requirements and CAAC requirements
Review maintenance records and documentation concerning Customer / Manufacturer's specifications, Shop Orders and Supplemental Engineering instructions
Be responsible for compliance with the requirements of the Repair Station and Quality Control Manual and Company Policies and Procedures
Adhere to EHS policies and be responsible for meeting all quality assurance standards of the Product
Be responsible for auditing closed Shop Order files in accordance with Quality Procedures and
may perform other job duties as assigned
Use a variety of hand tools such as
measuring instruments, such as scales, micrometer, calipers, dial indicators, gauges, etc.
Actively participate with the team, including committees-Attendance at meetings is required
Assist in the development of goals and supporting metrics
Learn different operations and job assignments will change based on the needs of the team and the cell
Perform all other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements
High School Diploma or GED
Must have demonstrated proficiency in the areas of assignment as a process inspector
Knowledgeable of relevant computer based programs
A&P license (or 18 months of practical experience in the procedures, practices, inspectionmethods, materials, tools, machine tools, and equipment related to inspection of aviation
components at GE Engine Services-McAllen)
Eligibility Requirements
Ability to pass a board review panel concerning FAA Part 145, Part 65, and Part 43
Proficiency in the use of measuring instruments, such as scales, micrometer, calipers, dial indicators, gauges, etc.
Ability to thoroughly understand and interpret technical documents utilized in the shop
Fluency in the English language (Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language)
Ability and willingness to work overtime as needed
Proven experience and willingness to be self-directed and identify improvement processes
Have a positive can do attitude with proven experience in developing and motivating team members
Ability and willingness to strive to improve operations and cycle times within the cell with regular participation in kaizen events
Ability and willingness to work effectively with others in a team setting
Have the desire to support lean initiatives
Have the desire to follow and promote safe work practices
Communicate effectively with others
