Position Overview
McNally Construction Inc. is currently seeking an entry-level engineering graduate for a Project Technician position. The primary responsibility for this position is to collaborate with and support the project engineering staff. This may include engineering temporary works, AutoCAD drafting, assisting project surveyors, preparing daily and weekly reports, project changes, subcontractor management, scheduling, submittals, and materials procurement.
District OverviewMcNally Construction Inc. is a privately owned heavy construction company that specializes in tunnel and marine construction. McNally is recognized as Canada's leading Tunnel Contractor, with experience building tunnels with a wide range of tunneling methods, for end uses including utilities (water, sewer, steam, power transmission,) and transportation (subways, traffic pedestrians walkways). On the water we boast one of the best equipped construction fleets in Eastern Canada; able to successfully handle a wide variety of marine construction jobs effectively and efficiently.
LocationThis position will be located in either the Greater Toronto Area or Hamilton Region.
Responsibilities• Preparing shift/daily or weekly reports
• Completion of daily hourly employee timesheets
• Completion of daily equipment timesheets
• Procurement of temporary and permanent materials
• Support for Project Engineer (if applicable) and Superintendent(s) as required
• Completion of daily time and material sheets for claims process
Education Requirement
• Related College Diploma or University Degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technician
• Past construction experience considered an asset
Experience Requirements
• Knowledge of MS Office Products.
• Experience with scheduling software is considered an asset (P6, MS Projects)

• Regular, reliable attendance
• Work productively and meet deadlines timely
• Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment
• Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies.
• Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required.
