Managing Director, Relationship Management_AS Enterprise
Advisor Services Enterprise clients represent Schwab's largest clients and these clients are rapidly growing and achieving new levels of sophistication, complexity, and size.
The Managing Director, Relationship Management will protect and grow the sales and relationship management efforts for half of AS Enterprise Clients.
Key Outcomes:
Responsible for leading the Enterprise sales team, driving NAF results, managing significant and various types of risk, and collaborating on the overall Enterprise strategy.Lead and manage relationships comprising $55T and influence $.95T of AS' $4.6T and associated revenue.Deliver and influence ~14% of AS' $253B 2025 NAF goal and associated new revenue.Manage various forms of risk in these relationships (financial, operational, strategic, and legal/compliance.)Collaborate with the leadership team to develop and refine the Enterprise sales and relationship management strategy and the overall Enterprise strategy.Serve as a highly visible and influential leader in industry with clients, industry business partners, media and industry events, speaking engagements.Inform and influence our client offer development for specific Enterprise clients and for Enterprise as a whole.Maintain a productive partnership with multiple internal business partners in AS and supporting organizations.Ensure the team has deep understanding the unique needs of these clients individually and as a group, informing and influencing our Enterprise offer within AS.Collaborate with non-AS partners to evolve and modernize solutions in Workplace, Bank, WAS, WAMS, Operations, Tech, etc. to evolve our current offers or create new offers for Enterprise clients.What you haveRequired Experience:
+15 years of deep experience with, and understanding of, the RIA Marketplace and advisor needs and 15 years of deep relationship management experience with RIA firms. 5+years of people leadership experienceBA or BS degree and Series 7, 63, 24.Preferred Experience:
Experience setting relationship management strategy for large, complex clients.Experience managing a significant budget and hiring plan with material enterprise-wide business impact maximizing the investment.Successful with a style of transparency, openness, and personal engagement with a keen focus on performance, decision making and delivering outcomes.A track record of developing strong relationships with business leaders through relevance, trust, influence, and delivery. Builds very strong relationships through collaboration across all levels of the organization, motivating colleagues to accomplish work effectively and urgently.Confidence and courage in business and talent decisions, actions, and communications with a demonstrated ability to take decisive action when needed including championing ideas, position, or dissent.Able to act decisively in making solid, informed judgment calls in response to both the technological, operational, financial and critical regulatory environment and the day-to-day business issues.Results oriented leader who takes initiative and effectively distills strategy, analytics, and varied sets of input to drive to decisions and follow through to execution.Strong emotional intelligence/maturity and senior level executive presence and ability to present to senior level internal and external constituencies.Experienced in effectively assessing, selecting and developing talent for the firm; adept at providing balanced, direct and actionable feedback to employees.
