Gundersen Health System is looking for a BC/BE Family Medicine Physician with a desire to practice obstetrics in a rural community in West Union, Iowa Clinic. The medical staff includes 4 physicians and 5 APCs. The Gundersen West Union Clinic practices state-of-the art medicine and is attached to Gundersen Palmer Lutheran Hospital a 25-bed critical access hospital.
A rewarding practice and an excellent quality of life awaits in West Union. Northeast Iowa is often called Iowa's Bluff Country or the Little Switzerland of Iowa. The bluffs, hills and valleys are full of Iowa's most extensive hardwood forests, native prairies, wetlands, cold water trout streams and spectacular views. This region boasts small family farms and more public land to explore than in any other region of Iowa.
Practice Highlights:
Must have completed an accredited graduate medical training program and be board certified or eligible within the area of medicine stated. In addition, must have or be able to obtain a license to practice in our multi-state region with no restrictions or limitations. Medical staff in our system will supervise advanced practice clinicians. Medical staff may need to provide outreach service as part of their role in the system. Teaching students, residents, fellows, or clinical staff is cornerstone to our Medical Education philosophy and an expectation of all medical staff.
