Reports To:                 Meat Department Manager

 

Maintains stock levels within the Meat Department’s sales floor by replenishing products as needed. Executes the boomerang theory by providing exceptional service to all guests behind the service counter and on the sales floor.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist guests with locating items on or off the sales floorReceives, prepares, and fulfills guest orders and other special requestsProvides excellent guest services by professionally answering department telephone or in on the sales floorWraps meat and seafood in appropriate packagingEnsures accurate pricing on items within displays and sales floor- fills, rotates and removes product according to dateSupports teammates and positively contributes to the culture of the Meat DepartmentAddresses guest concerns and resolves issues by practicing the boomerang principalEnsures high standard quality control by inspecting, rotating, maintaining proper temperatures, and replenishing all meat products on displayMaintains proper inventory levels in Meat Department (containers, wraps, tags, etc.)Maintains food safety logs and leads by example through following proper proceduresEnsures all quality standards are being met, including quantity expectations at 100% by 10 am and 5 pmOther duties as assignedRegular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule, and adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absences

WORK SCHEDULE

The Meat Utility Worker is an hourly position that may be part-time or full-time. The work schedule may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
