Key Accountabilities:
Perform routine preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and diagnostic work on a wide range of mobile and stationary equipment
Complete repairs on all mechanical systems as required. Including, but not limited to, engines, transmissions, driveline, brake systems, hydraulic systems, etc.
Participate in the GFL safety program and ensure compliance with all GFL and Fleet Maintenance safety standards, policies and procedures
Ensure repaired equipment is properly tested for correct performance and operation
Utilize excellent organizational skills in order to complete accurate, legible and descriptive documentation for all completed repairs
Install or fabricate aftermarket equipment and components as assigned
Communicate effectively with Shop Foreman, Lead Hand and Parts Coordinator
Requirements:
Apprentice or Journeyman Certificate
Class 5 Drivers License with a clean drivers abstract required, 1A or 3A Driver’s License would be an asset, but not required
Strong Mechanical and troubleshooting abilities on a wide range of machinery and equipment
