**Job Title: Mechanic 2nd Shift**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team for the 2nd shift. In this role, you will coordinate scheduling, communicate with customers, manage parts posting and orders, and oversee work performed by technicians. You will also assist with estimates, close and settle work orders, and perform other essential duties to ensure smooth shop operations.
**Responsibilities**
+ Coordinate scheduling with both shops' master schedules.
+ Take incoming phone calls and communicate updates with customers.
+ Post parts to jobs from work in process ROs daily.
+ Review work orders and inspections performed on shift.
+ Review parts orders and submit them.
+ Handle over-the-counter parts sales.
+ Close and settle COD work orders on shift.
+ Assist in preparing estimates as needed.
+ Coordinate and oversee technicians in both shops, providing assistance as needed.
+ Close shop following closing procedures.
+ Fill in for manager and run departments, as necessary.
+ Perform other duties as required.
**Essential Skills**
+ 5 years’ experience in heavy-duty truck business.
+ Experience with diesel, heavy equipment, and hydraulics.
+ Valid Driver License.
+ Excellent customer service and communication skills.
+ Ability to use computers efficiently.
+ Knowledge of brakes, pneumatics, and diesel engines.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience with diesel engine and trailer repairs.

**Work Environment**
This position is for the 2nd shift, with hours from 2pm to 10pm. You will be working in a diesel repair shop, often in an enclosed area alongside other mechanics and technicians.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
