Mechanic 3- Commercial Vehicle Country/Region: US Location: Vernon Hills, IL, US, 60061 Req ID 71108 | Vernon Hills, United States ZF Services, LLC **What you can look forward to as a** **Mechanic in Commercial Vehicle:** + Performs all duties of Tech I & II as described on job descriptions + Inspects and reports failure analysis of product and parts + Reassembly of gearboxes including implementing product updates + Tests product to ensure functionality + Diagnosing/Troubleshooting gearboxes + Works independently and may travel locally to customer locations. + Work on D.O.T.. safety sensitive product + Performs related tasks as assigned. **Your Profile as a Mechanic in Commercial Vehicle:** + High School diploma or GED required + Technical or vocational school or 3+ years mechanical product experience + Must be able to read and write English. + Strong verbal and written communication skills required. + Strong computer skills required. + Valid Driver’s License + Knowledge of hand or pneumatic tools; forklift and/or pallet jack experience. + Previous lean manufacturing experience preferred. + Previous experience with SAP and/or Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook) preferred. **Physical demands:** While performing the duties of this job, the associate is required to stand for extended periods of time; 60 minutes continuously up to 6 hours per 10 hour day, walk up to 2 miles per day, handle or feel objects and/or tools; operate power tools; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop; bend, verbally communicate; and hear safety indicators. The associate must frequently an repetitively lift and /or move up to 40 pounds.
