Employees in this job classification are responsible for preventative maintenance, ongoing inspections, and minor and major repairs for commercial vehicles. This job class requires knowledge of procedures, tools, and equipment used in the trade, the ability to communicate effectively with others, and organizing and managing competing priorities. **TYPICAL DUTIES:** 1. *Diagnoses and repairs various vehicles and their associated components. 2. *Performs regularly scheduled maintenance on commercial vehicles. 3. *Performs on the road repairs. 4. *Maintains accurate records and logs of vehicle maintenance and repairs. 5. Performs duties and special projects as assigned. ***** DenotesEssential Job Function **MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:** •Meet driving qualifications as defined by PRIDE Industries. •Demonstrate the correct use, disposal, and storage of potentially hazardous materials. •Knowledge of and training in the use of diagnostic, preventative, and repair operations, techniques, procedures, tools, and equipment used in trade. •Demonstrate the ability to apply critical thinking to identify problems to solutions. •Ability to communicate effectively including listening, verbal, and written. •Demonstrate basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. •Ability to manage competing priorities and exercise flexibility. **EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:** High School Diploma or GED **CERTIFICATES REQUIRED: ** The following licenses or certificates may berequired depending on local, state and/or contract requirements: Dept of Trans Medical Valid CDL w/PAX ED **PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:** ** ** Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance: •Walking and standing •Stooping, bending, and crawling •Pushing, pulling, and lifting to 35 pounds **WORK ENVIRONMENT:** Work is performed in a shop environment and the employee may be exposed to exhaust fumes, potentially hazardous materials and/or fluids, noise from equipment, and depending on external weather conditions, wind, rain, cold, and heat when performing roadside assistance. **DISCLAIMER:** The above information on this description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees within this classification.
