Diagnose, rebuild and repair vehicles and equipmentPerform inspections and preventive maintenance of vehicles and equipmentTruck tire handling and repairIron work with torch cutting and weldingOccasionally ordering partsOperation of a forkliftPrepare and maintain records and reports Diesel Engine experience preferredMechanic  Qualifications

Mechanic 

 

Candidate should have one to five years of experience and/or training in vehicle/construction equipment repair and maintenance shop or any combination of education, training and experiences that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position. Must be able to work efficiently in a busy environment independently. Attention to detail and pride in your work is a must. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds. Work extended hours outdoors in a variety of weather conditions out of service van. CDL preferred but not required.

For compliance purposes for NYS transparency, the expected salary range is $28.00 - $38.00. Compensation will be based on experience and other factors permitted by law.

 

Mechanic: Performs work in the repair and maintenance of vehicles and equipment; performs related work as assigned.
