**Job Title: Mechanic**
**Job Description**
Are you a skilled Mechanic looking for a dynamic and rewarding opportunity? Join our team and become a vital part of our mission to maintain and enhance our fleet of ground support equipment. As a Mechanic, you'll tackle mechanical and electrical challenges, ensuring our equipment runs smoothly and efficiently. Your expertise will be crucial in performing repairs, replacing faulty wiring systems, and completing welding projects. You'll also have the chance to install new components on vehicles, making a direct impact on our operations and customer satisfaction.
**Responsibilities**
+ Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues on our fleet.
+ Perform comprehensive mechanical and electrical repairs on ground support equipment.
+ Replace and repair faulty wiring systems, including lighting, radios, and lifts.
+ Execute welding projects as needed.
+ Install new components on vehicles as required or purchased by customers.
**Essential Skills**
+ Proficient in troubleshooting and mechanical repair.
+ Skilled in electrical repair and hydraulics.
+ Experienced in preventive maintenance and welding.
+ Ability to read and interpret schematics.
+ Proficient with hand tools and automotive repair.
+ Expertise in diesel repair.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ 4-5 years of experience in troubleshooting and repairing trucks or heavy equipment (field service experience is a plus).
+ Strong experience in hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
+ Valid passport (or ability to obtain one).
+ High school diploma or equivalent; technical schooling is a plus.
+ Willingness to travel approximately 10% for direct client interactions.
+ Ability to work both indoors and outdoors as needed.

**Work Environment**
+ **Shift Hours:** 7am to 3:30 pm, with potential for some overtime. Most weeks will be around 40 hours.
+ **Location:** Based in our state-of-the-art automotive shop in McHenry, Illinois.
