**Job Title: Mechanic** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team. The pay range for this position is $25.00 to $35.00 per hour, based on experience and skill set. A strong electrical background is strongly preferred and would correspond with a higher starting hourly rate. The role requires working afternoon or evening shifts, and a strong attendance record is essential. **Responsibilities** + Assist the facilities manager with ensuring that all facilities are structurally sound, mechanically operational, electrically efficient, and safe by planning and scheduling daily/weekly preventive maintenance activities. + Ensure that contract mechanical maintenance services meet specified results and work orders by observing the work performed and advising the maintenance manager when services fail to meet specifications. + Contribute to the overall success of facilities maintenance by performing other essential duties and responsibilities as assigned. + Ensure the operation of machinery, PLCs, and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on motors, pneumatic, conveyor systems, and production machines. + Follow diagrams, operation manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications for troubleshooting and repairs. + Perform required preventive maintenance on PLCs, including lubrication, cleaning, and filter changes. + Follow safety, GMP, HACCP, and all other procedures and policies. + Provide communication to all support team members by following proper escalation procedures. + Operate the blow mold machine, following GMPs at all times, performing start-up inspections, sanitation, and product testing. + Ensure product quality by checking weights and codes every 30 minutes, recording lot code information, and maintaining a clean and safe work area. **Essential Skills** + Electrical + Pneumatics + Hydraulics + Controls experience + Troubleshooting + Preventive maintenance + PLC troubleshooting **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + High School Diploma or equivalent (education verification required) + Verifiable maintenance experience + 3 to 5 years of mechanical experience and maintenance + Strong analytical skills + Ability to troubleshoot GMP equipment + Proficiency in using all hand tools for troubleshooting mechanical and electrical equipment **Why Work Here?** This is a clean and well-maintained workplace with great management.
