A Day in the Life* of a Mechanic:

Maintenance or repairs of diesel, CNG, gas and electrically operated trucks as well as associated heavy duty equipmentUsing various power tools, hand instruments and cutting-edge equipmentCompleting daily reports, work orders and ordering necessary partsPlanning and scheduling repairs in M5 planner and procure partsAssisting in the review of mechanical write-ups and coordinate repair schedule

What’s Required:

Mechanics must have:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); technical diploma desired1+ year experience as a Red Seal Heavy Duty MechanicRelevant criteria for safety-sensitive functions according to Company standardsFollow detailed instructions, work independently and maintain accurate recordsWillingness to operate any vehicle or equipment necessary to perform jobExert physical effort including pushing, pulling, bending and lifting items up to 100 lbs.Use fine motor coordination with arm, hand, finger and leg dexterityAbility to kneel, crawl and climb
