**Mechanic** **Job Description** Ensures the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on production machines. Follows diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications while troubleshooting malfunctions. Dismantles, moves, assembles, installs, welds, performs torch work, and repairs industrial machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, drawings, or verbal instructions. **Responsibilities** + Dismantle equipment and machines using hammers, wrenches, crowbars, and other hand tools. + Move machinery and equipment using hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks. + Assemble and install equipment such as conveyors using hand and power tools. + Construct foundations and align machines. + Perform scheduled inspections and maintenance. + Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems, and using precision measuring and testing instruments. + Remove defective parts by dismantling devices, using hoists, cranes, hand and power tools. + Control downtime through the use of effective routine preventive maintenance techniques. + Set up and operate machine tools and fabrication machinery to rework or make new parts. + Travel to other locations may be required. + Perform other work as assigned at Management’s direction. **Essential Skills** + Troubleshooting + Mechanical maintenance + Mechanical troubleshooting + Understanding of blueprints/schematics + Machine operating or fabricating + Diesel engine repair + Electrical repair + Hydraulics + Pneumatics + Preventive maintenance + Blueprint reading + Schematic reading + Hand tool usage + Welding + 3-phase motors + Wiring + Mechanical assembly + Electrical assembly **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Proficiency with hand and power tools + Strong mechanical aptitude + Experience in mechanical/electrical assembly **Why Work Here?** We offer a dynamic and supportive work environment where you can grow your skills and advance your career.
